The Story Behind Majida Ameer Textiles
How a personal frustration with mass-market bedding in Pakistan became an atelier dedicated to honest comfort.
Majida Ameer Textiles didn’t begin with a grand corporate boardroom. It started with a simple, personal frustration shared by almost every homeowner in Pakistan: why was it so hard to find genuinely comfortable, well-fitting bedding?
For years, the market offered two frustrating extremes. On one hand were mass-market synthetic polyester sheets that pill after three washes, trap heat during humid summers, and slip off mattress corners. On the other hand were heavily marked-up imported linens that failed to account for Pakistani bed depths, took weeks to arrive, and felt too precious to actually use every day.
What was missing was honest, thoughtfully proportioned bedding. Bedding woven from real combed cotton and tactile, washed velvets that breathe, stay soft through countless laundry cycles, and complement real bedroom interiors rather than showroom stages.
We set up our design studio and finishing workshop in Lahore with a dedicated team of master tailors and pattern cutters. Rather than outsourcing blindly, every seam, corner tie, and flange border is cut, stitched, and quality-audited under our direct supervision.
